Municipal sources reported that Mayor Ariel Sujarchuk ordered the creation of the Strategic Coordination for Citizen Protection, a body aimed at improving prevention and speeding up responses to emergencies related to security and traffic. The initiative was approved by the Deliberative Council through an ordinance and seeks to bring together different areas of local government at the same table to share information, coordinate comprehensive actions, and address specific neighborhood problems alongside residents and institutions. According to the Argentine News Agency, the coordination will be headed by the municipality's General Secretary, Beto Ramil, and will intervene in weather contingencies, working in conjunction with the Emergency Operations Committee (COE) to define and implement measures in each case. Among its functions, the new body's central task will be the analysis, monitoring, identification, and evaluation of risk scenarios, with the aim of strengthening prevention and improving work plans in potential danger situations. To this end, the Coordination will collect data and create a map of potential conflicts, with diagnostics that allow for anticipating responses and guiding territorial interventions, according to the official communication. 'This body was designed to anticipate conflicts and get ahead of addressing various complex situations with clear decisions and a concrete presence in each neighborhood,' Sujarchuk stated, explaining that the space will hold periodic meetings to refine diagnostics and action plans. From the Municipality, they indicated that the launch seeks to improve not only emergency response but also to reinforce prevention and community care actions, integrating management tools for emergencies, road safety, and traffic regulation.
